World Fintech Festival

8 - 12 November 2021 Nigeria

About WFF 2021

In furtherance of the Connect objective of the Fintech Association of Nigeria, FintechNGR that aims to forge partnerships with important stakeholders that can deepen and accelerate innovation and its impact on the economy, the Association is partnering with the Monetary Authority of Singapore to host the Nigerian/African edition of Singapore Fintech Festival, SFF, the largest gathering of innovators, financial and tech policymakers, tech enthusiasts, etc from across the globe.

Since most of the African economies are still evolving, World Fintech Festival, WFF (Nigeria) aims to advance solutions and strategies that would catalyse most agrarian economies to digital economies as the future is digital. It would also showcase the best of innovation in Nigeria and Africa at the event.

Nigeria, ranked by Statista as the country with the most owners or users of cryptocurrencies in the world in 2020, hosts four out of five fintech unicorns in Africa (Interswitch, Flutterwave, Jumia and Opay) with over $2b in investments in the Fintech ecosystem in the past seven years. It is poised to be the first African country to pilot a Central Bank Digital Currency, CBDC by end of 2021 and has amazing content to project to the world as a leading hub in innovation.

The one-day event that would be streamed live for the global audience at SFF would feature experts made up of innovators, regulators, government functionaries and a host of other professionals in  panel sessions, keynote addresses, fireside chat, tech showcases in emerging technologies such as blockchain, Artificial intelligence, Quantum Computing and Cloud Computing amongst others
