The Fintech Association of Nigeria (“FintechNGR or “Association”) is a self-regulatory, not-for-profit, and non-political organization incorporated in Nigeria. Our mission is to foster an ecosystem that supports all stakeholders to achieve a thriving and growing Nigerian Fintech industry. Guided by a vision to make Nigeria one of the world’s leading markets for Fintech innovation and investment, we serve as a unifying body for the Fintech ecosystem, advancing thought leadership, advocacy, and collaboration across stakeholders.
Role Overview
To champion the Expansion and Participation pillars by strengthening FintechNGR’s influence in policy development, ecosystem collaboration, and government engagement. This role ensures the association remains the trusted national voice for fintech.
Key Responsibilities
a. Policy Advocacy & Stakeholder Engagement
- Lead regulatory engagements with CBN, SEC, NITDA, NCC, FCCPC, NAICOM, and others.
- Coordinate policy roundtables, committees, and working
- Develop industry whitepapers, policy recommendations and position
b. Programmes & Events
- Lead nationwide fintech awareness campaigns and state
- Oversee strategic programmes: Innovation tours, GovTech dialogues, industry
- Strengthen relationships with government agencies, industry regulators, and development partners.
c. Research & Ecosystem Intelligence
- Produce quarterly regulatory impact
- Track regulatory shifts and provide guidance to the membership
d. Leadership & Operations
- Manage advocacy team, programs calendar and regulatory
- Oversee governance documentation, minutes, and alignment across
Qualifications & Skill Set
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Public Policy, Economics, or related
- Master’s degree is an
- 8+ years experience, including regulatory engagement
- Strong public affairs, communication, analytical and diplomacy
- Proven experience leading events, advocacy initiatives, or policy
- Ability to engage high-level stakeholders including CEOs and
